Liver disease is a common cause of many serious illnesses. There is growing evidence that in liver disease, Vitamin D deficiency is associated with worse outcomes. This project will use novel mouse models (tissue-specific knockout mice) to test the specific roles of vitamin D and its receptor in liver disease.
