Research Focus

Biomarkers in cancer – Professor Fernandez-Peñas and his team are looking at new non-invasive methods for early diagnosis of skin cancer (in particular melanoma). There is the constant challenge to find new techniques, to understand what is normal and what is not, and to be able to predict. The team's research will have direct applicability to improve human health.
