How are WIMR researchers fighting against COVID-19? Join Professors Tony Cunningham and Sarah Palmer for an online seminar.

Join us on Wednesday 6 May at 6.30pm for a special online Meet the Researcher forum focussed on COVID-19 research, led by Professor Tony Cunningham.

Professor Cunningham is an infectious diseases physician, clinical virologist and scientist, recognised globally for his research related to the immunobiology of HIV and herpesviruses, his work on vaccine and microbicide development, and as an antivirals expert.

Professors Tony Cunningham and Sarah Palmer, Co-Directors of WIMR’s Centre for Virus Research, will provide an insight into COVID-19 and the current situation, how COVID-19 is transmitted, and what you can do to minimise the risk of transmission in your home and business. They will also brief you on the ground breaking COVID-19 research work in progress at WIMR.

Everyone is welcome to join the seminar so please feel free to share this with friends, family and colleagues and encourage them to register – importantly, you don’t need to be a scientist to join us!

The seminar is free to attend, but registration is essential.

Once registered, you will be sent the link to the seminar on the day of the event.

WIMR’s researchers will also answer your COVID-19 questions at the end of the seminar. To ensure your question is answered, we encourage you to submit your questions at the time of registration. Due to timing and the volume of responses, we may not be able to address all questions.

We look forward to you tuning in for an insightful discussion. Register below.
