Wednesday 29 September is a global day of focus on heart health and cardiovascular disease. WIMR is rising to the challenge with an online drive to raise urgently needed funds its pioneering cardiac research. This work could save the lives of hundreds of people a year and improve quality of life for thousands more.

To instantly double the impact, the National Stem Cell Foundation of Australia (NSCFA) has generously pledged to immediately match every single dollar raised throughout September.

Like us, NSCFA believes that the pioneering heart research underway at WIMR has the potential to radically improve health outcomes and quality of life for all those suffering the debilitating impacts of heart failure after heart attack. It’s a gamechanger.

We aim to raise $50,000 throughout September, in the lead-up to World Heart Day (29 September). Thanks to the fantastic dollar matching pledge from the National Stem Cell Foundation of Australia, we could be directing $100,000 to help transform the way heart disease is treated in Australia and around the world.

We need your help. We know that we can raise these much-needed funds on World Heart Day.
