Biography

Professor David Brown is a senior researcher with the Centre for Immunology and Allergy Research at the Westmead Institute. He is Senior Staff Specialist in Clinical Immunology at Westmead Hospital.

David's clinical and research interests are in the field of inflammation. Clinically, David is interested in the consequences of inflammatory diseases on the CNS, vasculitides, and the treatment of connective tissue diseases. His research interests are in several areas including chronic inflammatory diseases such as atherosclerosis and rheumatoid arthritis. He is also actively researching the role of the immunity in cancer and neuroinflammatory diseases.
