Has a loved one experienced dementia?
Are you experiencing early signs of dementia or caring for someone with dementia?
Would you like to help guide the direction of dementia research?

You are invited to WIMR to attend an information session about new dementia research underway in Western Sydney.

Dr. Caitlin Finney’s research is focused on a precision medicine approach to dementia care and treatment by using 3D brain models taken from an individual’s own stem cells.

Dr Finney’s research studies the role that a person’s genetic errors (mutations) play in causing dementia so that we better understand how to treat it.

You will hear more about how mini brain’s in dishes may hold the key to future breakthroughs in this area; have the opportunity to share your story, and ask Dr Finney about the direction of this important work.

We look forward to hosting you at WIMR.

Date: Wednesday 11 October 2023.
Time: 10:00am until 11:30pm.  Following this session, you are warmly invited to stay for morning tea.
Location: WIMR – 176 Hawkesbury Road, Westmead.

This event is free but RSVP is essential.
