The George Institute for Global Health and WIMR are looking for people living with depression for the ALIGNED study.

The ALIGNED Study is using a simple DNA cheek swab to choose the right antidepressants for people with a lived experience of depression.

What happens in the study?
Pharmacogenomics is a new, simple genetic test which can determine how a person will respond to medication.

The ALIGNED Study will test if a prescription of medication guided by pharmacogenomics, and possibly a brain scan, is better than the choice a doctor would make.

There are 4 remote study sessions over a period of approximately 12 weeks.  All sessions will be done via videoconference (eg Zoom).

If you have depression, and planning to start antidepressant treatment OR considering changing your current antidepressants, this study may be suitable for you. If you would like to take part or would like to find out more, please get in touch with us today.
